Join Jayson and Australia's best truffle dog team on an exhilarating truffle hunt experience. Jayson will expertly guide you through everything you've ever wanted to know about truffles. Feel the rush of excitement as you join the hunt for the elusive black truffle through the forest of 4,000 oak and hazelnut trees. Once the perfect truffle is found, we head back to the warmth of the truffle shed for a decadent truffle tasting.
Based in the picturesque Majura Valley, surrounded by an oak tree forest and overlooking the trellised vines of Mount Majura Winery, The Truffle Farm invites visitors to experience the rare and delicious black truffle.

Taste inspired local food infused with the distinct and exquisite flavours of fresh truffles straight from the ground or join the excitement of a truffle hunt during the season.

What will you get?

  • A truffle hunt at The Truffle Farm begins with an informal and interactive introduction to the world of truffles. During         this part of the tour guests can take a seat in the heated marquee. (20 mins)
  • The tour will then proceed outdoors to the truffle paddock to begin the hunt. During this part of the tour, guests will         be required to walk through the truffle trees and follow the truffle hunting dog as it searches for truffles.
  • During the hunt, guests can get involved with digging up the truffles and interacting with the truffle dog. Once a                 number of truffles have been harvested, the guide will lead guests back to the heated truffle shed. (45 mins)
  • The truffle hunt concludes with a demonstration on how truffles are prepared for market and a truffle tasting. The             tasting may include dishes like cheese, honey, crème brulee, soup or seafood. Please let us know when you book if           you have any specific dietary requirements. (20 mins)

What do you need to know?

Your voucher is valid for the truffle season June - August 2017, please contact the provider to book in.
The gates to the farm will be opened 15 mins prior to the start of the event.

Truffles are only available in Australia during winter so hunting at the farm will not be cancelled due to cold or wet weather. In fact for truffles the colder, the better! Please make sure you are dressed appropriately for a hunt. (Shoes suitable for walking around the farm in wet weather, warm clothing, raincoat or umbrella)

Voucher is only valid for Wednesday hunts only.
Tours run 10-11.30am
